Sanofi CHC Separation

Sanofi initiated the separation of its Consumer Healthcare (CHC) business unit into an independent company. The newly formed entity required a standalone data and ML platform to support all existing and future data science initiatives. Key challenges included: Decoupling from the parent company’s data and ML infrastructure Migrating existing data science and ML workloads to a new platform Designing a modern, cloud-native architecture with minimal vendor lock-in Establishing a foundation for scalable GenAI application development

OrbitaLab designed a new target Data & ML architecture and supported the CHC unit through the transition: Assessed the existing architecture and defined a future-state platform aligned with modern AWS services Designed the architecture with cloud portability in mind, enabling potential migration to other cloud providers Migrated ML workloads from Databricks to SageMaker Implemented a data engineering platform based on ECS, Airflow, dbt, S3, and Snowflake Established a dedicated GenAI application platform using ECS and Amazon Bedrock
