Loopia Migrations

A large European hosting provider — Loopia Group — had grown through multiple acquisitions, resulting in more than a dozen heterogeneous hosting platforms. This fragmentation made the platforms difficult to operate and maintain. Previous attempts to execute a unified migration had stalled for over a year due to architectural complexity and operational risk. The company required a structured migration and user consolidation approach that could scale across multiple acquired brands without disrupting existing customers.

OrbitaLab designed and executed a long-term, multi-platform migration and consolidation program: Defined a unified migration strategy and execution plan covering all 15 source platforms within the first month Designed a target hosting platform and a custom migration tool tightly integrated with it Standardized source platform integrations by defining API requirements using OpenAPI, reducing effort for subsequent migrations Executed phased migrations of acquired brands while maintaining service continuity Successfully migrated 6 brands over a 2.5-year period
